Frequently Asked Questions
What is NUCCA Chiropractic?
NUCCA Chiropractic is a gentle, precise, and effective procedure to correct spinal misalignments. NUCCA focuses on the top two bones of the neck and their relationship to the skull. NUCCA Chiropractic returns the head and neck alignment to a more optimal position restoring the center of gravity to the spine. This allows the rest of the spine to return to balance and stabilize for better longer lasting results.
What is Gravity Spinal Care?
Gravity Spinal Care is passive (NUCCA) care and active (exercises, ergonomics) care to best support the health and longevity of your spine. The spine is involved in every movement you make so knowing how to take care of your spine is essential to living a full life without suffering.
What is the difference between NUCCA and tradtional Chiropractic methods?
Traditional Chiropractic focuses on general mobility of the spinal joints. Just because a joint has "popped" or "cracked" does not mean it has been restored to its proper alignment. It only means the joint is now more mobile; for better or worse.
What does a NUCCA correction feel like?
A light pressure by your ear. The pressure similar to that getting your pulse taken.
Do I need imaging?
In short to see is to know, to not see is to guess. We do not guess when it comes to our patient's health.
How often do I need to get adjusted?
When it comes to spinal care we value stability over mobility. Our goal is to adjust you the least amount of times possible. We know we are on the right track when you come in the office to get checked and you do not need an adjustment. Many of our patients tell us they have recieved the longest lasting results with NUCCA spinal care in our office.
Will insurance cover NUCCA chiropractic?
In an effort to keep our prices down and be as efficient as possible, we are a fee for service offce. Meaning all of our patients pay at the time of service. Our office will complete all the necessary paperwork in order for you to get reimbursed from your insurance company based on your insurance plan. Reimbursement depends on your coverage (deductible, co-pay, etc.).
What if I do not have insurance or my insurance doesn't cover it?
We recommend that you don't base your decision to get care or not, on an insurance plan's coverage. We believe health is your most important asset and we all place different value on our health. Often high deductibles must be met before coverage can be utlilized. Our office visit cost is similar to most specialist co-pays. We will never refuse care because of finances. We are willing to work with all budgets to ensure you get the care you need.
